"I voted against the resolution, which could set a dangerous precedent for the European Union. In my opinion, its contents and subject matter are incompatible with the principle of subsidiarity. These kinds of resolutions may foster euroscepticism, as they are proof of the EU’s tendency to become involved in the internal affairs of EU Member States. The principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of EU Member States is not an absolute principle, but there is nothing happening in Lithuania that would force us to take action. Those who want to see a better Europe should vote against this resolution. That is the reason for my decision. Thank you very much."@en1
