Madam President, the Commission intends to report to Parliament and the Council on the functioning and results of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 through a communication, which should be adopted in the second half of this year. This document will analyse four years of the Regulation’s functioning and will propose any other actions to be taken in order to reduce the number of incidents and improve the protection of air passengers’ rights. All airports will therefore be checked. I hope that the Commission’s work will improve the situation and provide citizens with the answers they expect.
