lpv:translated text	"I voted for this recommendation as accession to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Regulation No 61 on uniform provisions for the approval of commercial vehicles with regard to their external projections forward of the cab’s rear panel (Revised Agreement) is an aim of common trade policy in accordance with Article 113 of the Treaty to remove technical barriers to trade in motor vehicles between the contracting parties. Involvement by the Community will add weight to the harmonisation activities conducted according to this Agreement and will therefore permit easier access to third-country markets. This involvement must result in the establishment of consistency between the instruments referred to as ‘regulations’ adopted under the Revised Agreement and Community legislation in this area. The adoption of a regulation of this type actually means adaptation to technical progress."@en1
