lpv:translated text	"The development and expansion of the Trans-European Transport Network are an absolute must for consolidating the internal market and promoting the European Union’s cohesion. This is the reason why I voted for option ‘C’ proposed by the rapporteur, Eva Lichtenberger. This approach will allow all the types of financial resources available in the future to be used for transport and infrastructure, even though it does not offer entirely the means to guarantee effective implementation, bearing in mind the numerous divergent national interests. Any other alternative, including the option proposed by the alternative motion from the PPE-DE Group, might have made it impossible for Member States to use the Cohesion Funds, as part of the Cohesion Policy, for transport infrastructure projects other than the priority TEN-T projects and, by implication, this could have deprived Romania of the opportunity to use the Cohesion Funds for the transport sector, funds which Romania is greatly in need of."@en1
