lpv:translated text	"Nuclear energy will have a vital role to play in the future of energy in our societies. As a result, and given the plans for future facilities in Europe, it is essential to lay down a Community framework for nuclear safety. Mr Hökmark’s report will ensure that the best and safest conditions are established at future nuclear facilities in Europe. A clear framework with independent and strong national regulators will be created, together with a system for issuing licences for nuclear facilities and a system for inspecting and checking these facilities. The future importance of nuclear energy demands excellence in the conditions for its implementation and in the conditions for the exchange of essential information, so that uniform safety conditions of the highest quality can be established. I therefore voted for this report."@en1
