lpv:spoken text	"The topics of education and migration are closely related because both migration within the European Union and immigration into the EU have considerably increased over recent years and there are a number of issues that we should observe more carefully in the future. I also support the idea that the Directive 77/486/EC is outdated. Let us remember that this Directive dates from 1977 and the European Union has been changing ever since. To give just an example, my country (Romania) joined the EU over 20 years later, and I feel that this Directive does not offer a solution to our problems. The migration related issues have dramatically increased over recent years, and I support Mr Takkula’s idea to amend this Directive. I would even go one step further and suggest there be a new Directive dealing with the education of the children of migrants."@en1
