I am disappointed that not all the new generation programmes connected with the 2007-2013 Multiannual Financial Framework have been adopted, especially as regards the important Galileo programme, which has not been allocated sufficient funds, and the framework programme on Fundamental Rights and Justice. A greater commitment would in fact have been required in order for them to be adopted within the time allowed. I also believe that Parliament should exercise stricter control over the European Union’s budget through more regular and stringent checks to ensure that public money is being properly managed."@en1
