"I voted in favour of Mr Papastamkos’s report on international trade and the Internet. Indeed, I support the rapporteur’s aim to highlight areas of international trade in which the Internet has acted as a catalyst, creating new conditions for international trade to develop at world level. It is plain to see that international trade and the Internet are mutually beneficial. What is more, I firmly believe that the development of online trade holds considerable advantages for consumers. The main benefits, whether at national, European or world level, are a far wider choice of goods and services, competitive prices, lower living costs and improved quality of life. Thanks to the increased information available, consumers now have the opportunity to find better goods and services, which can be accessed 24 hours a day, from home or the workplace."@en1
