"Madam President, I would like to extend the warmest Estonian support for the Czech presidency. Truly increased competitiveness is the best remedy for the economic crisis, with the completion of four basic freedoms. President-in-Office, I support your idea of developing to the full extent the Eastern Partnership. We understand now how important it is to engage countries like Ukraine and Georgia to the rule of law and democratic accountability. Last September the European Parliament suggested marking 23 August as a day of joint commemoration of the victims of Communism and Nazism. We trust that you will take the lead in convincing all the 27 governments to officially mark this day, beginning from next August. We also expect you to lead us to a European moral and political assessment of the crimes committed under totalitarian Communism."@en1
