lpv:spoken text	"I supported this report, as it is in line with the amendment I tabled on the financing of large scale CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage) demonstration plants, in my report on the review of the EU’s Emissions Trading System. Our dependence on fossil fuels is likely to persist for some time and we should be exploring all options in order to mitigate their harmful effects. CCS extracts and buries the carbon from any hydrocarbon source rather than allowing emissions to enter the atmosphere. If implemented without delay and given proper financing CCS could reduce CO emissions in the EU significantly."@en1
