"I voted in favour of the Iotova report on consumer education on credit and finance. The world is heading into a period of huge financial uncertainty and many of Europe’s citizens are fearful for their jobs, their savings, their pensions and their future. In such a period of uncertainty, consumer awareness of credit, debt and finance in general is surely more important than ever. This report calls for financial education to be tailored for specific groups and initiatives of this kind at an EU level are to be welcomed."@en1
