". The European Parliament ‘gives its assent to the conclusion of the agreement’ … Behind these nine words are 65 pages of an ‘agreement’ which, among many other negative aspects, is ruled by the euphemistically termed ‘principles of free market economy’. In addition to some worrying political aspects, the primary objective of the agreement is the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the European internal market, as a way of ensuring that the EU’s major transnationals have control over its economy. The agreement is littered with the terms ‘free trade’, ‘free movement of capital’, ‘liberalising the establishment and supply of services’ and ‘liberalisation of transport’ (air, maritime, inland waterways and land). Its aim is to ensure that, within six years, Bosnia and Herzegovina has ‘properly implemented and enforced’ the Community on free competition in the internal market and also ‘other trade-related areas’. Obviously, we support the further development of friendly relations with other countries, but this must be in response to their real needs. These relations must be mutually beneficial and contribute to reciprocal development and the principle of non-interference and respect for national sovereignty must be observed. However, this agreement is contrary to this principle."@en1
