"Madam President, I voted against the report on marriage by Mr Gebhardt, as I think it is important that Finnish laws should apply in Finnish courts in future in cases where the application of a law of a foreign country would conflict greatly with the basic premises of Finnish law.
I am also very concerned about the proposed evaluations of guilt in divorce cases. In Finland we gave up investigating unfaithfulness or other such matters in divorce cases about 20 years ago. It would be one gigantic leap backwards and a whiff of the old times if this were reintroduced."@en1
