The crisis is spreading inexorably through EU Member States and developed countries generally, laying the EU’s reactionary nature even barer. These statements, the state-monopoly interventions announced by Ecofin and the bourgeois governments of the EU Member States, as well as the bailing out of the debt-ridden banks and other monopoly business groups with public money, are measures to support EU capital in a bid to shore up the monopolies’ economic and political dominance. This proves that capitalism has no answers when it comes to the peoples’ interests. Faced with the risk of crisis, the EU and the bourgeois governments of its Member States are intensifying their attack on the working class and the masses. The peoples of Europe have nothing to expect from the EU summit conference.
