This is an extremely important matter – so important that it must remain the political responsibility of the Member States and their devolved authorities. The Member States must have exclusive responsibility for the organisation of education and the content of training provision. This is another attempt by the European Parliament’s Committee on Culture and Education to meddle in an area which currently does not fall within the Union’s responsibilities, but which some want the Union to become involved in for the good of us all. This own-initiative report is a waste of taxpayers’ money, which the European Parliament should have nothing to do with."@en1
