Burma is distancing itself from democratic values at an alarming speed. So far the Nobel Prize and Sakharov Prize winner Aung San Suu Kyi has spent 12 years and 239 days in confinement. She is not allowed to receive visitors, conduct telephone conversations or receive mail. The Burmese junta uses brutal violence. We must condemn the undemocratic and brutal action of the Burmese military government. China must stop supporting Burma.
