These phenomena are also known in other countries. I agree that we must deconstruct the unnecessary bureaucracy, mainly if the provisions make it impossible for small businesses to work. However, reducing the scope of the legislation cannot mean eroding food safety. In contrast with other continents, food safety regulation in Europe is at a unique, outstanding level. There may be deficiencies in its implementation, but these problems must not necessarily be solved by weakening regulation. For this reason, we can only grant exemption from the HACCP and hygiene monitoring by the Union in cases where we can be completely sure that we are not causing any harm by doing so.
