".
Aid and money for the people in China who have been hit by this natural disaster are a must in dealing with this tragic situation. But the Member States themselves can offer such aid directly to the stricken region. Aid does not have to go via the EU. Other international organisations are better equipped to coordinate humanitarian aid. The United Nations, with its long experience and global reach, is an obvious example of such organisations. We consider that this resolution is yet another attempt by the EU to pursue foreign policy and to make use of a disaster in order to take a further step towards a federal state which engages in foreign policy."@en1
