"So far the answer is a clear ‘no’, but we are aware that it is calling for our attention, and not only our attention, in terms of monitoring what is going on. What we have done is to put it on the agenda in the European competition network, and we are gathering information from all the Member States that have experience – some have inquiries, others are analysing, others are just trying to find out what is going wrong in the retail area. France, Germany, the UK, Belgium – they all have different approaches to today’s situation.
So far, there is no reason to say that there is a cartel. As soon as we become aware of a cartel we will act, I can assure you, but, by the way, I think it is not that bad, as national competition authorities are active and following the whole situation in this sector."@en1
