These poor wretches are Asian victims exploited by neighbouring countries which cooperate with Europe but never see the consequences from a European angle. Now if there were adverse effects, and Frontex, for example, had both to carry out its rescue function and inform us about where they come from and which states allow this unlawful trade in unfortunate people, who often end up at the bottom of the sea, then the EU would be able to take its own measures against such countries and cut the subsidies lavished on them today."@en1
