However, I could not support this motion for a resolution, as an amendment to respect the ‘one China’ policy principle was passed by the majority of my colleagues. I do not support this particular amendment, as the ‘one China’ policy threatens Taiwan as well as Tibet. I have in the past called for a boycott of the Beijing Olympics on the basis of human rights."@en1
