The ratification of this convention has been ongoing since March 2007, but only 16 countries, two of which are EU Member States, have ratified it. I think that since the EU has promoted a policy supporting the rights of the disabled in culture and human dignity, all Member States should ratify this convention. Its 50 articles describe in detail the rights of persons with special needs in every area of human activity (health, justice, family) and call for them to participate in decision making."@en1
