Through NGOs civil society plays a very important role in meeting the needs of the process of European integration and new kinds of European governance. Which Community action programme is currently in force for supporting European NGOs active mainly in the environmental protection field? Which NGOs (and which of their activities) which contribute to the further development and implementation of the Community's environmental policy and legislation have so far received funding? What is the amount of funding received per NGO? Is the scope of the existing Community programme differentiated geographically? Which Greek NGOs have taken part - or are taking part - in the current programme, either independently or on a transnational basis? What are the criteria governing the selection, monitoring and evaluation system based on impact results and indicators?"@en1
