lpv:spoken text	"I supported this resolution with a degree of reluctance. Russia and its leader Vladimir Putin have proved difficult of late in a number of areas, especially energy. Nevertheless, the one issue on which I have some sympathy is their response to the highly contentious US plan to deploy Theatre Missile Defence in the EU supposedly to defend against a scarcely credible threat from Iranian nuclear-tipped ICBMs, but which equally poses threats to Russia’s own defence. I therefore regret that Amendment No 3, which I voted for, by the Green Group, was defeated by 242 to 362."@en1
