The European Parliament has become involved in a matter that tends to be disregarded. Less and less physical activity is being practised in individual Member States of the European Union, and sport is taken ever less seriously, despite its significant social and cultural role. I therefore voted in favour of this resolution in full awareness of what was involved. I welcome Parliament's stance on the subject."@en1
