A more globalised economy implies a readiness for change which means greater mobility. The creation of a common reference framework for the recognition, comparability and transfer of qualifications originating from different systems is fundamental to the development of a decisive component of the European project, in other words the mobility of workers facilitated in this case by the portability of their qualifications. Better training of our workers combined with a harmonised system for the recognition of their knowledge, skills and abilities will enhance their mobility and the development of the internal market. More and better skills among European workers could help to ensure better organisation, more innovation and improved competitiveness among our undertakings."@en1
