lpv:translated text	"I voted in favour of the own-initiative report by my Finnish colleague Lasse Lehtinen on the obligations of cross-border service providers. It really is time to encourage the implementation of measures that will help to complete the internal market for services by having a uniform system of obligations for service providers, in order to further facilitate development of a seamless internal market. It is essential that not only consumers but also companies – and particularly SMEs, both as buyers and as sellers of cross-border services – should be able to benefit from greater legal certainty and simplicity, as well as a reduction in costs. I support the idea, outlined in the report, that no distinction should be made between public and private service providers, which should both be equally subject to the field of application of the consumer-protection directives."@en1
