lpv:translated text	"Mr President, in his report, the rapporteur has made proposals that combine greater flexibility and the maximum degree of safety, and which are in the interests of workers and employers. His proposal is designed to provide job security for workers and guarantee a future for business and competitiveness in Europe. However, I should point out that job security no longer means a job for life, but rather always being able to find work. That entails creating the right conditions, from life-long learning to creating positive working conditions that allow a healthy work-life balance. The social partnership is vital to the effective implementation of these strategies. Although nationally that is fine and works well, there is a certain amount of catching up to be done at European level. I think the report as a whole is excellent, and have therefore voted in favour."@en1
