lpv:translated text	"I am voting in favour of Ieke van den Burg’s report on Financial Services Policy (2005 – 2010) – White Paper. The rapporteur addresses important issues relating to the proper provision of financial services on the European capital market. She points out the lack of integration of the retail financial services markets, the need to emphasise the cross-border requirements of mobile users, and pilot projects for Europe-wide financial services such as pensions, mortgages or particular insurance products. As the rapporteur so rightly says, it is important to make basic services accessible to all citizens. We should also not forget about increasing financial education and involving users in the policy-making process, and promoting financial knowledge and education for consumers. The report dedicates a great deal of attention to regulatory and supervisory structures, stressing that current oversight of some new complex products and their interactions and effects at macro level may prove inadequate."@en1
