Workers’ mobility is a fundamental right in the European Union. This can only become a reality if the right conditions are created. This applies particularly to the area of social security. It is simply not enough for state pension rights to be transferable; the same also has to apply to occupational pension systems.
It is important that the rules remain practicable: we do not want well-intentioned procedures to cancel out their additional benefits because excessive red tape makes them unwieldy. Overall the approach proposed is a step in the right direction."@en1
