"One of the great strengths of the European Union in the field of health is the ability to spread best practices. Apart from examining the outcome of the screening recommendations, will the Commission take as an example the country that comes out best in terms of screening, treatment and low mortality rates and analyse not just how they got there, but how this could be applied to other Member States? There is no point in just gathering statistics and saying ‘These countries are doing it well’ or ‘these countries are doing it badly’. We also need to know why the best countries are succeeding and how we might transpose that into other healthcare systems across the Community."@en1
