"Mr President, yesterday, two Members of the Hungarian Parliament sent a bottle of polluted water from the river Rába to the Austrian Minister for the Environment. If you say it is clean drinking-water, please taste and drink it: that is the message behind their gesture. I have not come here with polluted water. I came only with clean words.
Dear Austria fans, dear fellow parliamentarians, please help us to stop the river pollution on the Austrian-Hungarian border. I know that many Austrian NGOs and political parties are protesting against the dangerous activities of some Austrian companies and have obtained promises to stop them or at least to use filters to minimise the pollution. What we need now, after many protests and promises, is action in the interests of a clean environment and the traditional Austrian-Hungarian friendship."@en1
