The issue concerned is one for the national football associations and the organisations with which they cooperate, as well as for each of the national parliaments. We also object to the fact that the draft report refers, for example, to the draft European Constitution, which has already been rejected in two referendums in Europe. We object, moreover, to the proposals that a legal framework at EU level should be devised for football and that consideration should be given to introducing a European legal status for sports companies.
