However, I would like to congratulate you on completing the seventh framework programme and implementing it. I would also like to congratulate President Barroso. The collaboration between Parliament and the Council and the Commission in the field of innovation was generally exemplary. We can now make ourselves understood in many matters that are important to Europe. There is no European victory or civilisation that is of importance on a world scale without economic innovation.
