lpv:spoken text	"I voted in favour of this report on the establishment of a European Institute for Gender Equality. The Commission’s feasibility study concluded that there is a clear role for such an Institute. The proposed agency would be small, with a staff of 10 or so. The overall objective of the Institute will be to assist the Community institutions, in particular the Commission, and the authorities of the Member States in the fight against discrimination based on sex and the promotion of gender equality and to raise EU citizens’ awareness of gender equality."@en1
