I support the idea that Bulgaria should be able to join the EU, but I do not believe at this point in time either that they are really ready for membership or that the Union is ready to receive them. This is only made worse by the attitude of the Bulgarian authorities towards the rights of minorities or judgments of the European Court of Human Rights. I realise there is little to be done at this stage, but unfortunately feel my position will be justified by future events. Yet this is not a vote against free movement of EU citizens. When they join on 1 January they should have the same rights as everyone else."@en1
