In this regard, the European Union has decided to act by means of Frontex and cooperation between governments, but unfortunately it appears that this has not yielded any results. Rather than the number of immigrants falling following action by the European Union, immigration has increased and the problems have not been resolved. This means that the European Union is not currently applying the necessary resources and we therefore believe that it should increase its efforts in order to put an end to this problem of illegal immigration, given its consequences both for the European Union itself and for the fate of the Africans in question."@en1
