Austria should show the same understanding towards its own minority as for the Southern Tyroleans, the German-Italian minority in Italy. One more word on the Brenner Base tunnel project: it is proving to be a bottomless pit for taxpayers’ money. We need to alter our transport policy. Without this, the railway will not stand a chance. We need to improve our existing railways before embarking on isolated projects on such a huge scale."@en1
