In developing countries in which there are no large companies, it is of course more important to ensure that there is an institutional framework that makes it possible for small and medium-sized enterprises to operate. It is not, however, the task of the European Parliament to dictate what conditions should apply in the developing countries. Every state, both in the EU and in the rest of the world, has the right to own and shape its own development. I have therefore voted against this report today."@en1
