"Mr President, even though this does not come under the explanations of vote, I should like to take advantage of this opportunity to thank you for the expertise you have demonstrated in presiding over the House. You will have noticed that many of us support you in that regard. It was with great conviction that I voted in favour of the Galeote Quecedo report, particularly Articles 18 and 32. Article 18 refers to best practices, by maintaining that the experience built up both at national and at regional and local levels should be disseminated and used in other countries. In that connection, I believe that we could genuinely help other countries a great deal, through volunteering, for instance, as done by fire fighters, whose work can be carried out in many other regions and countries. I sincerely hope, therefore, that we will proceed along those lines. Article 32, on the other hand, refers to the removal of administrative barriers, particularly for border regions, which have specific needs. I completely agree with this."@en1
