".
I do not believe we need to do anything to achieve our objectives in the engine industry at present because admixture is permissible and technically possible in small quantities. Of course we will need more flexibility in the future. The car industry will follow our political trend.
The most important thing at present is to show that the European Union really is prepared to do that. In reality, only very small technical changes are required to increase the use of biofuel. The most important objective should be to bring biofuel on to the market in as many Member States as possible, since it is not available everywhere yet. In some States it is already. The Commission is therefore trying hard to persuade those States that have not yet done enough to achieve their own objectives."@en1
