"Question no 48 by Michl Ebner () On 6 April 2006, advertising for mobile phone ringtones in media used primarily by children and young people was termed anti-competitive in some respects by the German Federal Court (judgment of 6 April 2006 - I ZR 125/03) on the grounds, inter alia, that such aggressive advertising is directed at a target group which is in special need of protection and commercially inexperienced. However, advertising for ringtones, mobile phone games and suchlike is not confined to Germany; rather, it extends to the other Member States too. Does the Commission intend to take action on this issue in the interests of protecting children and young people? What form will the Commission action take? Is there a timescale for any intended Commission action?"@en1
