They have been invited here by the President of the European Parliament as a sign of the European Parliament’s support for democracy and freedom in Belarus. Mr Milinkevich bravely led the presidential campaign under oppressive conditions created by a dictatorial government in Belarus, defending human rights, democracy and civil society and fighting for values which are also ours."@en1
