"I am slightly disappointed in the answer to the question. Our policy on development aid focuses on good governance and respect for human rights and it certainly does not seem to be the case here. If you look at the fact that we gave approximately EUR 900 million to Ethiopia between 2002 and 2005, we do not seem to be getting any respect for human rights in that country. A lot of talking is going on, but there is very little action.
I would like to raise the specific case of Berhanu Nega, the elected Mayor of Addis Ababa. What is happening to him and has that case been raised by the Council?"@en1
