"Thank you for that answer, but may I remind you that, unlike the United States Supreme Court, which is appointed by the federal institutions of the US, our Court of Justice is actually appointed by the Member States, yet it seems to be Member States themselves that complain about some of its judgments.
The Court cannot intervene in any issue: it can only deal with disputes that are referred to it. I shall finish with the words of a former President of the Court of Justice, who said, ‘the Court does not take political decisions but it does sometimes have to remind politicians of the decisions that they have taken’."@en1
