As our point of departure in the negotiations, we have the European Parliament’s resolution of 8 June 2005 on political challenges and budgetary resources of the enlarged European Union for 2007-2013. We therefore support the European Parliament’s resolution on the European Council’s common position from 15 to 16 December 2005. We cannot, however, support the wording on an improved European dimension to the EU’s agricultural policy. We look forward to the overhaul of the EU’s income and expenditure in 2008 and hope that it will lead to a more modern structure for the EU budget and reduced expenditure on the common agricultural policy."@en1
