"Cultural issues are, of course, very important. The June List is of the view that cultural policy should in principle be taken care of by the Member States. When it comes to the European cultural heritage, there may, however, be justification for dealing with certain issues at Community level.
Individual items of expenditure should not, however, be debated until the EU’s long-term budget has been adopted. The June List has therefore chosen to vote against this report."@en1
