".
One of the key aspects of the debate on the future of the Cohesion Fund is, of course, that of ‘statistical wealth’. Every aspect of this fund is extremely important, yet the aspect that most concerns me, and without doubt the national authorities, is that of apparent wealth stemming from actual impoverishment due to the loss of support breaking an unfinished cycle of growth. This is the key problem for Portugal in talks on the future of this fund, and is my greatest concern. I welcome the fact that the report is mindful of the need to find an adequate political response to this question."@en1
