It is vital that we protect the Community’s financial interests when combating fraud and other illegal activities with the potential to harm its financial interests. I therefore feel that this report strengthens the existing measures for cooperation and exchange of information that are key to combating illegal activities of this nature. I also wish to highlight the key role played by OLAF, a body that is at the Union’s disposal, in facilitating the exchange of information. I therefore voted in favour of this report."@en1
