It is also true that we wish to see the citizens of Europe enjoying the best, the most appropriate and the most effective social protection, and the same is true of health care. That said, we must not overlook current predominant trends, especially the ageing of the population. In other words, we must urgently seek solutions to problems that are already apparent.
